Village Green Restoration Inc. are general contractors specializing in the conservation, preservation, restoration and adaptive reuse of historic structures throughout New England. Our partners and craftspeople have decades of experience in the field of historic preservation and a deep appreciation for the skill and artistry of those that came before us. Our mission is to preserve historical integrity while assuring both longevity and continued relevance. We can handle an array of projects from museum quality conservation to adaptive re-use. We provide both general contracting services and specialty trades in historic preservation including window restoration, ornamental plaster and gravestone conservation. We pride ourselves in our ability to work collaboratively with the owners, architects, consultants, historical commissions and all other interested parties. All our work conforms to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Preservation and the American Institute of Conservators Code of Ethics. 

Principals:

Ethan Howard – Ethan is a licensed Construction Manager with twenty years experience in historic preservation. He specializes in construction management, architectural millwork, window and door restoration and fine woodworking. He has worked in dozens of historic properties throughout New England including Old North Church, Trinity Church Boston, Old South Meeting House and the Easton Public Library.

Michael Gallagher – Michael holds a BA in Historic Preservation from Mary Washington University and has spent twenty five years in the field of historic preservation and architectural conservation. He specializes in construction management and architectural conservation. He has worked throughout the United States from the U.S. Capitol to the King Hulihe’e Palace on the Big Island of Hawaii.
