Village Green Restoration combines best practices in fine arts conservation, historic preservation and construction to implement museum quality treatments to historic monuments and masonry.  We specialize in large scale and complex projects that require skills and knowledge in conservation, documentation, rigging, construction, and landscaping.  We handle all aspects of gravestone and masonry conservation and restoration in house, from stone carving to ASTM foundations. We take special interest and care in the most challenging monuments and all our work is done according to standards established by the American Institute for Conservation and the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Historic Preservation.

Chief Conservator, Michael Gallagher, holds a BA in Historic Preservation and has more than twenty years’ experience in the preservation and conservation of structures and monuments. Michael was the lead Conservator at the New York City Parks Monuments Conservation Program and Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain.  He holds a current 1B/2A Massachusetts Hoisting Engineers License.
