Historic windows and doors are a critical aspect of a building’s architectural character. They are also notoriously problematic in terms or restoration. Fortunately, the craftspeople at Village Green Restoration have decades of experience in the restoration of historic windows and doors including lead abatement, glazing, wood restoration and weather-stripping. We use that experience to execute treatments that are considerate of both historic integrity and practical functionality. Part of preserving these vital elements, is ensuring that they are safe, functional and thermally efficient. And if after careful consideration, it is determined that the existing windows are no longer viable, we will mill replacements that match exactly.
